Three Okefords Preservation Society
Three Okefords Rally, in North Dorset, is an annual event that is more than just a display of steam engines and vintage vehicles. It is a celebration of engineering history and rural heritage, which provides a memorable experience for all who attend.
Set against the backdrop of a beautiful and rural North Dorset landscape, Three Okefords is one of the highlights of the year for me. The Rally takes its name from the three villages in the vicinity: Okeford Fitzpaine, Shillingstone, and Child Okeford.
On the day I was there, at about 11:45 there was a sudden downpour and thunderstorm, which produced prolific puddles and mud, and stopped all working demonstrations. You can get an idea of the weather from my photos.
