The Bournemouth-Poole Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) 2024 took place on Sunday, May 19th, raising £80809 at the time of writing.

1044 riders assembled at Poole Quay and then made their way through Poole Park, to Sandbanks Ferry, Westbourne, and Bournemouth Pier. After a break, they rode along the Promenade to Boscombe Pier and Southbourne, along the Wessex Way to Hurn roundabout and Sopley, ending the ride at ‘Destination Triumph’ (motorcycle dealers), in Christchurch.

DGR is an annual, global event that brings together classic and vintage motorcycle enthusiasts, who dress in dapper attire to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer research and mental health.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa and has, so far, raised USD $45 million, with over 500,000 classic and vintage riders in 121 countries.

The event is open to all motorcycle types, and riders are encouraged to don their best vintage or classic styles​​.
