The Bennett Family, Bennetts Family Bakers, Lower Parkstone, Poole, Dorset.
Bennetts Family Bakers was founded and run by Claude Bennett from 1951 until 1965, when he retired. His son, Anthony (Tony), then took over, and he and his wife, Margaret, continued the tradition of providing quality baking for the Poole and Bournemouth areas of Dorset until 5th July 2025. Their son, David, was also part of the family bakery business, as was David’s son.
Due to a combination of ill health, retirement, and the economic climate, all the Bennetts’ shops in the area (Winton, Broadstone, and this shop, at Lower Parkstone) closed down in 2025, after a total of 72 years.
