PJ Jones, the butcher, was in Sandbanks Road, Whitecliff, close to Lower Parkstone, Poole, Dorset.

Proprietor, James Baillieu, ran the shop for over five years, although it was a butcher’s shop long before then.

James specialised in the best free range meat and poultry, including game. There was also a delicatessen, with home-cooked ham and pies. The shop also sold a large range of savoury sauces and jams, as well as ready meals.

[2024 – The shop is now under new ownership, but is still a butchers].
