On Saturday 5th October 2013, two days after I took my first photos, Barkers suffered a fire at their Lower Parkstone branch. This has temporarily closed the launderette, although they can still accept dry cleaning from the office at the back of their Parkstone branch.
Barkers are currently completely re-fitting the launderette and will be up and running again in a while. In the meantime, I am following the refit of the new shop.
